1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to all coaching services, programmes, workshops, digital resources, and related communications provided by Confidently Autistic Confidence Coaching (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, paying for, attending, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you are booking on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Our Services
We provide confidence coaching designed to support autistic people, neurodivergent people, and those who wish to build self-confidence, self-advocacy, communication skills, and personal or professional confidence. Services may be delivered online, in person, one-to-one, in groups, or through workshops, depending on the service agreed at booking.
Coaching is a collaborative, educational, and developmental service. It is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical care, diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, or crisis support. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, result, employment opportunity, relationship outcome, or change in circumstances.
3. Suitability and Safeguarding
You are responsible for deciding whether coaching is suitable for you. If you have a medical, mental health, safeguarding, or crisis-related concern, you should seek support from an appropriately qualified professional or emergency service.
We reserve the right to decline, pause, or end coaching where we reasonably believe the service is not appropriate, safe, or within our competence, or where your needs would be better supported by another professional service.
4. Booking and Contract Formation
A contract is formed when you request or agree to coaching by email, proposal, invoice, or other written communication and we confirm acceptance in writing. We may refuse a booking at our discretion and will refund any payment received where we do not accept the booking.
You agree to provide accurate contact, billing, accessibility, and attendance information when booking and to notify us promptly of any changes.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees are as stated in the relevant email, proposal, invoice, or written offer at the time of booking. Invoices must be paid within 7 calendar days of the invoice date, or before the service begins, whichever is sooner, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payment may be made by Stripe payment link or Lloyds bank transfer, as stated on the invoice or agreed with you.
A booking, session, programme, workshop, or resource is not secured until payment has been received, unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
If payment is late, declined, or incomplete, we may suspend or cancel access to sessions, programmes, resources, or events until payment is received. We may also pause future bookings, withhold materials or resources, and require payment in full before any further services are provided. You remain responsible for all agreed fees unless cancellation rights or refund terms apply.
Where an invoice remains unpaid after the due date, we may take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amount. This may include sending payment reminders, applying reasonable administrative or recovery costs, and charging statutory interest or compensation where permitted by law.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
You may cancel or reschedule a one-to-one session by giving at least 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel or request to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the session may still be charged and may not be refunded or rescheduled, unless we agree otherwise.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a session, we will offer an alternative date or a refund for the affected session. We are not responsible for additional costs you incur, such as travel, childcare, accommodation, or time off work, unless required by law.
Where you are a consumer, you may have a 14-day cooling-off period under UK consumer law after the contract is formed. If you ask us to begin providing services during that period, you acknowledge that you may be required to pay for services already provided. If the service has been fully performed with your agreement during the cooling-off period, your right to cancel may be lost.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to attend sessions on time, participate respectfully, complete any agreed reflection or preparation work, communicate honestly, and take responsibility for your own choices, actions, and wellbeing.
To help maintain a safe and respectful coaching space, you agree not to harass, abuse, discriminate against, record without permission, or behave in a way that disrupts the safety or accessibility of coaching spaces. We may remove you from a session, programme, or community without refund if your behaviour breaches these Terms or creates a risk to others.
8. Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments
We aim to make our services accessible and neuro-affirming. Please tell us as early as possible about any access needs or reasonable adjustments that may help you participate. We will consider requests in good faith and make reasonable adjustments where practicable.
9. Confidentiality
We will treat information shared in coaching as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law, safeguarding obligations, professional advice, court order, payment processing, business administration, or where we reasonably believe there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person.
In group settings, all participants are expected to respect confidentiality. However, we cannot guarantee that other participants will keep information confidential.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal information may be used to manage bookings, deliver services, communicate with you, process payments, keep records, improve services, and comply with legal obligations.
Health-related, disability-related, or accessibility information may be special category personal data and will be handled with extra care. We will only request information that is relevant to providing services safely and appropriately. Please refer to our Privacy Notice for further details about how personal information is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected.
11. Intellectual Property
All materials, worksheets, recordings, documents, frameworks, exercises, and resources we provide remain our intellectual property unless stated otherwise. You may use them for your personal learning only. You must not copy, share, sell, adapt, publish, upload, record, distribute, or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Online Delivery and Technology
You are responsible for having suitable internet access, equipment, software, and a private environment for online sessions. We are not responsible for technical issues outside our reasonable control. If technology fails, we will use reasonable efforts to continue, rearrange, or provide an alternative where appropriate.
13. Testimonials, Feedback, and Marketing
We may invite you to provide feedback or a testimonial. We will only publish your name, words, image, or identifying information with your permission. Anonymous or anonymised feedback may be used to improve services and communicate impact, provided you are not reasonably identifiable.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable losses, or for decisions you make based on coaching. Our total liability for any claim arising from services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant service, unless the law requires otherwise.
15. Ending Services
Either party may end ongoing services by giving written notice, subject to any minimum commitment, payment plan, cancellation policy, or refund terms agreed at booking. We may end services immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, misuse materials, act abusively, or create a safety concern.
16. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our services, please contact us in writing at admin@confidentlyautisticconfidencecoach.com with details of your concern. We will aim to acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and provide a response within a reasonable timeframe. We encourage respectful, constructive communication and will seek to resolve concerns fairly.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the version available or provided at the time you book, unless we agree otherwise or a change is required by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
